Final Fantasy XIII ... Final Fantasy XIII is a good game. Most westerers don't understand JRPG's, they are naturally going to be story-driven and the gameplay elements are going to be different. It's not a western RPG. We are all titled to our opinion, hate mail is going a bit far. When you weigh all the reviews from critics and users you get an 8/10, which is good. It got generally positive reviews...not mixed or even negative. XIII-2 really seems? to have answered all of the fans main questions! Can't wait!

While I didn't ... While I didn't really fully agree with the Destructoid review of FFXIII, I respect Jim's right to have an opinion just as I respect everyone's right to have an opinion. Most of the reviews I saw for FFXIII were around an 8/10, and I'm pretty much in that boat. As much as people like to say FFXIII was critically panned across the board, it isn't really true. Some sites like Giant Bomb and Edge disliked it, while Games Radar and Cynamite actually gave it a 10. It's? all opinions guys...

Final fantasy is a franchise that will always have a special place in my heart but no FF game has been worth playing since FF9. And FF13 just take the cake in? terms of sheer crap.

Actually, there are ... Actually, there are differences between all of them. For reviewing a book or movie, the story is what primarily is given judgement. For a game, that's very different. Sure, story is a good portion of what goes into the score, but it's gameplay that's at the forefront. If? by more than 30 hours of gameplay he still had an overall negative feeling about the game, then he was well within his right to chalk up a review about it.
